Step It Up in September!

Are you where you want to be in this stage of your life? How’s your business or career going? How about your personal life?

I’m going to tell you a story that may really hit home – especially if you’re a musician, creative, coach, speaker, or Christian entrepreneur.

Accepting your gifts and your mission

I’ve met and worked with many speakers, coaches, and musicians who have actually resisted taking the stage. Many of them are Christian. I was one of them. Christians are supposed to serve – not be in the spotlight. That is what most of us have come to believe. My question is: Why can’t it be both?

Why can’t you use your talent as the platform that helps you reach others? That’s the realization I finally accepted. I originally was using drumming for entertainment and for worship. And then I became a percussionist and drum therapist with an amazing story: I healed myself after an accident with drumming and Divine Intervention. I resisted telling my story and using this gift, however – even though God told me to!

Here are some of the things that went through my head:
1) People will think I’m nuts.
2) Who am I to take the big stage?
3) What if it doesn’t work?
4) How will I survive when people keep asking me to do drumming events for free?

Does any of this sound familiar? Have you put your dreams on hold so that you could help others realize theirs? Have you ignored your mission and the gifts God has given you? Do you feel like you can do so much more but you’re afraid and don’t know where to start?

Goal setting tips for September:

If you started next week, you’d have 17 weeks until the end of the year. If I could write and revise a book in that time, imagine what you could do! It’s time to step things up! You need a game plan and it helps to have some support. That’s how I wrote my book! I didn’t do it alone.

1) Pick one big goal that you can complete in 17 weeks.
2) Decide what or who you need to make it happen.
3) Map out your steps.
4) Find a coach, accountability partner, or a group of friends who can help you stay on track.
5) Block out time each day to achieve your tasks & finish the thing!

My free gift to you: It’s my birthday month! I’m giving away 10 strategy sessions (30-min. call via phone, Skype, Zoom, or Facebook) to provide some guidance and encouragement. Click here and pick a time slot on my calendar.
