Are you ready for your miracle?

Christmas_angel_copyright_DoriStaehleIt’s easy to get discouraged, even during this festive time of year. Maybe your job or business isn’t where you thought it would be at this point in time. Maybe you’re watching all the awful stuff that has been happening in the news recently.

Well, since Christmas is right around the corner, I thought it was time for gentle reminder: Miracles happen all the time, you just need to know where to look.

Everyday Angels

When things seem overwhelming, it’s easy to forget the good things that have happened. Maybe it was the time an anonymous person paid for your coffee or your lunch. Maybe it was the guy who handed you a dollar for the parking meter. Maybe someone gave you a discount on something you really wanted or gave it to you for free. Yes, all those things have happened to me.

However, it’s easy to forget all those little things when you’re feeling stressed out, overworked, or overwhelmed. In fact, I’ve been so busy finishing my book, I almost missed Christmas!

I play percussion with a rockin’ church band. Once I got to band practice and started focusing on the tunes and the meaning of Christmas, I remembered the angels who blessed me and also the major hurdles I’ve gotten over in the past few years. I had to keep the faith.

As someone who has worked with young people for close to 20 years, I know for a fact that you get what you expect. I saw their potential and I set the bar pretty high. Others did not. I got different results because of my expectations. I saw past all the labels and all the excuses and convinced these kids to just go for it. Now, I do that with adults as well.

How about you? What would your life be like if you remembered your gifts and your dreams and took action?

What if you stopped telling yourself that it’s not practical, it’s not possible, or it’s just not the right time? Throughout history, many amazing things have taken place because people believed that their vision could become reality. They understood that there was something much bigger than them guiding the way. They had faith and they believed.

And isn’t that what this season is all about?
